Warne Motors are fully equipped MOT specialist, based Bury St Edmunds.

An MOT test is a legal requirement which ensures that your vehicle meets the road safety and enviromental standards. Your vehicle will need an MOT once it is more than three years old or prior to 12 months of its last MOT, if the vehilce is over three years old. MOTs can be carried out 4 weeks before the date of the existing certificate and will retain the original MOT date. Warne Motors is a registered MOT station and our qualified staff are able to complete MOT’s for both vehicle classes 4 & 7.

Our customers are more than welcome to wait and have a coffee whilst the inspection is carried out, we have a comfortable waiting area with a viewing window.

The following check will be made during your MOT:

Bonnet must close securely
Boot/tailgate should close properly
Brakes’ condition will be checked
Operation and performance checked
ABS and ESC checked (where fitted)

Warning lights checked
Door latches must be secure
Can open from inside and outside the vehicle
Hinges and catches must be secure and in good condition
Exhaust emissions

Must meet exhaust emission requirements
Exhaust system must be secure and complete
Fuel system (no leaks)
Mirrors – the minimum number of mirrors must be present and secure
Registration plates in good condition
